FERNANDO ALEMANNO MD : CURRICULUM

I was born at Scorzè-Venice ( Italy ).
I graduated MD at the University of Ferrara.
Master Degree for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Padua University.
I worked at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Padua University and the General Hospital of Treviso.
I was Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology Intensive Care and Pain Therapy at the General Hospital of Bolzano.
From 1988 to 1997 I regularly taught at the University of Verona, where I still give lectures. I have published 34 papers on Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy. I am the author of an original brachial plexus block technique published in Minerva Anestesiologica in June 1992; it is the first Italian original technique of regional anesthesia.
I went on to present the same technique et the following congresses: European Society of Regional Anesthesia (ESRA) Congress in Roma in 1994; ESRA Congress in Milano in 1998, International Symposium On Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine in Quebec City – Canada in 2000; the World Congress of the Anaesthesiologist, in Cape Town 2008.
I was invited to: the ESRA Congress at Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna in 2001; the 7° Course on Regional Anesthesia in Milano 2002; the Jordan Society of Anesthesiology Congress in Amman in 2003; the International Meeting in Orthopedics & Anesthesia in Roma 2004; the 12° Meeting ESRA in La Spezia in 2005; the International Meeting for Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery in Milano in 2006; the XIV Meeting ESRA Italian Chapter – Salerno 2007; the Portuguese Society of Regional Anesthesia Guimaraes (Oporto), October 2008; the VIII Convegno Nazionale area Culturale Dolore (ACD) SIAARTI, Roma, November 2009; Giornate Mediche del S. Filippo Neri, May 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and June 2011; Congresso ACD – SIAARTI, Perugia 2011; Corso Avanzato dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Roma, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015; the 18°, 19°, 20°. 21°, 22°, 23° Congress ESRA Italian Chapter, in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. The technique was last published in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine in Nov.-Dec. 2006. I published 41 articles about Anesthesia, Analgesia and intensive care.
